Does this Happen to Everyone?

i know i am supposed to be writing about what i've been up to this past week, so i will summarize: saw 'the weatherman' last tuesday (felt hideously awkward for 95% of it, but not bad overall);  went for mexican with shannon and taryn on wednesday (love the weekday squawk!); trekked home to kingston on thursday, then to montreal on friday with my mom; hung out with my sister for the weekend then back to TO on sunday.

ok, so now on to what i really want to write about.  i was walking to work this morning and to celebrate the release of some drew barrymore movie people were handing out flowers on the street.  after a woman handed me the flower i noticed that a man with a digital camera was taking my picture.  i looked at him after the picture was taken and he sort of shrugged at me as if to say "what could i do?"  i walked by only to noticed that he wasn't taking pictures of anyone else and, in fact, had put his camera in his pocket.  it was slightly bizarre.

i was kind of laughing to myself because i love random things that happen to me on the way to work and then it dawned on me that it wasn't the first time that some stranger had taken random pictures of me.  offhand i can remember at least three different occasions in aberystwyth that some guy with a proper professional camera took pictures of me (twice in the arts centre and once in the library).  and i've had my picture in the student newspaper at mcmaster, although on that occasion i knew what the picture was for (answering a man on the street question) so i suppose it doesn't quite count.  either way i am left feeling somewhat suspicious of people who take random photos.

so does this happen to everyone?  let me know ...
