The Birth of a Hipster Gargoyle
theoretically my sister and i love getting crunk. we've planned on getting crunk at home, on family vacations, during the high holy days, during lower holy days and pretty much every other time we see each other. most recently we planned on getting crunk at a local country bar near a dairy. we never get crunk.
but i went to visit her in montreal last weekend and we figured that it was about time. so finally, on saturday night, my sister and i drank together. what a bonding experience. just me, my sister, and four 20-year old boys playing video games. it was awesome.
i do love montreal though and the weekend was really fun, despite the weather. it was that miserable 5 degree rain for the whole weekend. kind of like the first month i lived in scotland, but with nourishment. we hung out with some of her friends, went to a really bad party for literally 12 minutes, and i got to play mario kart. i suck at mario kart. good times all around!
shannon had given me a goal for the weekend which was not to come to fruition. but thats ok because my sister would have been hideously embarrassed if i pulled one of her friends. and, to be honest, i would have probably been embarassed in the long run too. it just means that i am never going to make my quota for the quarter. thats cool, i don't really roll like that anyway.
tomorrow is tuesday, the worst day of the week. i am going to go to bed, read some chuck klosterman, and mentally prepare myself for the day.
